Original Drum Hsi is proud to finally unleash the Neter Supreme versions of Jackie Queens & Enoo Napa's "Read My Mind." Here there is a story to be told & it goes as follows...
While working with Enoo in 2015, Enoo submitted a composition to Neter entitled "Read My Mind," which featured the incomparable vocals of Jaquelyn Kwenda "Jackie Queens" - for mixing & mastering. Though this wasn't the 1st time Neter worked on editing of Jackie's vocals, he became so personally attached to the composition as a whole, but Jackie's vocal work had him caught up. Not too long after, Neter began working on his own versions of the composition. Keeping the composition deep in "Neter's Ark," he continued to work on perfecting his version while maintaining other productions he was working on, knowing when he felt it was ready for the planet, he'd unleash it. That area has arrived here & now!
Neter has offered up his "Cosmic Symphony Mix" in numerous versions. Starting with the main version, we find Neter coming thoroughly full on with a plethora of orchestral elements, including woodwinds, strings, brass, flutes, timpani's, bells, dual acoustic guitars, grand piano, as well as rhodes & also synth elements.
As it is often we find Neter utilizing all kinds of different types of instruments in his creations, he has included electric guitars in the climatic area of this version. Neter says that while he was working on the piece, he was also listening to a lot of Peter Frampton, & he credits his inclusion of the electric guitars as a result of being inspired by the genius of Peter. If you are familiar with the production of Neter Supreme, we need not even mention his drumming & drum programming. As usual it is absolutely explosive! There are 5 more mixes of this version, including the instrumental, a vocal & instrumental acoustic reprise, an orchestra edit & the shorter radio version. Each of these versions are individually crafted & mixed differently with the listener & DJ in mind. Whether one chooses one or chooses them all, the "Neter Supreme Cosmic Symphony Mix" is amazing in all of its structures.
Next on the release is "Neter's Galaktak Recall" dub mixes. Coming strong with that "Galactic Thump," these versions are for those who need an in-depth turn up! These versions focus more intently on the percussion, vocal effects & synth elements, while staying true to Neter's ability to pull you in to a cosmic trance-like state. Guaranteed to rock wherever they drop, these mixes are truly powerful.
Though dub mixes are more & more becoming a rarity in the modern society of this day, Neter says that; "Dubs have their origin in 2 of the main genres of music of my growing up, & they are Hip-Hop & House. Because of the fact that it is a part of my culture first, & later a concrete aspect of the art form of production & editing, I will ALWAYS offer dub mixes. Not including dubs would be like throwing away a piece of American Black & Hispanic culture, & as it holds true with so many other forms of today's pop culture, they are a concept that we created."
